Uluru, or Ayers rock as the Australian calls it, is one of Australia’s most known icons. Uluru is a big red mountain. The aborigines look at is as holy and have lived around it for thousands of years. The aborigines do not like that a lot of tourists look at this mountain as an attraction. To them it’s a holy mountain. Tourists have started to care about the aborigines, so they call it Uluru instead of Ayers rock to show respect.
